How does this Veggie Bucket CSA thing work anyway?
“Community Supported Agriculture” (CSA) members join a farm early in the season by pre-purchasing a share of that farm’s products in advance.
In return, members get a delicious weekly box of farm-fresh produce for the 18-week season once the harvest starts coming in, usually mid-June.

The buckets are an exercise in seasonal eating and are filled with what's ripe right NOW. It really helped us explore a bit more, forced some discovery on new things to make (tasty eggplant is a thing!), learn that if it's greens it's probably edible (like broccoli leaves!), eat more veggies in our diet overall (soooo tasty) and still have plenty to sock in the freezer to use over the winter.” |
